Let me share my cash crunch journey….I grew up in a household where dinner conversations were all about entrepreneurship – clients, employees, and profits. But it did not start that way.

For the first 14 years of my life, my dad had a great job and was a valuable member of any team he joined. The day my dad lost his corporate job, we were in shock! That day, I received a powerful message – I cannot put my future in the hands of others.

In my mid-20s, I was living my dream in Manhattan, a high-paying job at a "dot com" company. But dreams can be fleeting, and when the "dot com" bubble burst in 2000, mine shattered. Once again, I received that powerful message – I cannot put my future in the hands of others.

After that, I embarked on various entrepreneurial journeys with my then husband. Finally, I was an entrepreneur and in control of my future! (Do you remember how exciting it was to finally start your own business?)

But these exciting times were marred by crippling debt. We made our fair share of mistakes, from opening credit cards for trivial perks to justifying any expense as a "business expense." (Have you fallen for that one too?)

When I finally sat down and looked, we were staring at a million dollars in debt, and the emotions were overwhelming – shame, anger, and a sense of missed opportunities.

I have a business degree.

I thought I knew “the business of business”!

What the hell happened?!??

That's when I made a solemn vow – to learn from my financial missteps and become a guiding light for fellow entrepreneurs. Over the past 13 years, I've fought tooth and nail to overcome debt. It's been a difficult journey, but I'm on the path to financial freedom, and the finish line is in sight!
